How to activate CD key on Steam? 

1. Go to http://store.steampowered.com/about/.
2. Download and install Steam on your PC.
3. After installed, launch the Steam client. Login to your account if you already have one or register a new account.
4. Click "Add a game" in the bottom left corner, select "Activate a game on Steam..."
5. Accept the "Steam subscriber agreement".
6. Enter the CD key that you would like to activate on Steam and press "next".
7. Steam will authenticate your code after a few minutes.
8. The game is now visible in your list.
9. Click it to start the download.
